Ethias on Tour – Matthias Casse
For this assignment I got to follow Matthias Casse, one of the absolute best in judo, up close during his preparation for the Grand Slam. A unique opportunity to capture not only the action, but also the story behind it.
I deliberately took a fly-on-the-wall approach during his international training sessions. Being subtly present allowed me to capture those small but powerful details that say a lot about the intensity of the sport: the taping of fingers, the look just before a throw, the brief moment of rest between explosions of power. This is how you really bring the drama and focus of top sports into focus.
In addition to the visual images, there was also room for depth. I had prepared the necessary questions myself in advance and coordinated with his manager so that the interview with Matthias would be strong in terms of content. During the conversation, I filmed with two cameras and multiple angles. This allowed us to assemble smoothly and eliminate small hiccups or hesitations perfectly. The result is a natural, calm atmosphere in which Matthias brings his story, supported by powerful images.
This kind of reportage requires more than just a good lens. It is anticipating, moving with the story and making sure that both the athlete and the end result exude peace and strength.

No, the packages are not fixed. They serve as guidelines, but anything is negotiable. Do you have a shorter project or want to book a half-day? You can! I am happy to think with you to provide a customized solution.
Depending on the package chosen, I deliver the first images as early as the same day (same-day snippets for social media) or the next day (next-day edits). For larger projects such as aftermovies, delivery time is negotiable, but speed always remains the priority.
No, travel time is not included in the price. There is a mileage charge of €0.45 per kilometer. In addition, travel days are charged at a rate of €250 per day.
Besides sports photography, I also work for companies and do events, product shoots and portraits. My experience with fast-paced, dynamic settings translates perfectly to corporate storytelling and brand visuals. From strong business portraits to event recap videos, I deliver content that makes an impact.
It depends on my schedule. For large events, I recommend booking at least 1-2 months in advance. This leaves plenty of time to think about your project together. For last-minute assignments, you may always contact me – if it fits, I will make it happen.

Cyclocross is mud, struggle and pure passion – and I wanted to capture that story like no one else could. With Rhino, a 200-page cyclocross bible, I take you behind the ribbons, deep into the race. In places where you as a spectator can never go, I captured the raw emotion, strength and fight of the riders.
