De Panne Beach Endurance

For this assignment, I got to follow Yves Lampaert for a full day during the Beach Endurance Race in De Panne. No classic aftermovie with mere atmospheric images, but deliberately chosen for a personal story in which, as a viewer, you walk along with one rider – from preparation to arrival.

The goal? Future participants show how such a race day really goes. Not only the race itself, but also the atmosphere around it: the warm-up, preparing equipment and the unique challenges of beach racing.

For this production, I worked with Slipstream Media, who engaged a drone pilot, among others. Thanks to their expertise, we were able to get impressive aerial shots, completely within regulations – which is not a given on the Belgian coast. In addition, I drove a Jeep myself along the beach, using a carefully calibrated gimbal and stabilizer to capture stable images even at high speed and bumpy ground.

In addition to the visual strength, we also chose English subtitles so that the video could reach a wider, international audience. Thus, this production will be not only a great memory, but also a strong recruiting tool for future editions of the Beach Endurance.

Such projects require customization: from technical preparation, positioning in the field to content construction. Everything must be right so that the end result is both visually strong and content compelling.

No, the packages are not fixed. They serve as guidelines, but anything is negotiable. Do you have a shorter project or want to book a half-day? You can! I am happy to think with you to provide a customized solution.

Depending on the package chosen, I deliver the first images as early as the same day (same-day snippets for social media) or the next day (next-day edits). For larger projects such as aftermovies, delivery time is negotiable, but speed always remains the priority.

No, travel time is not included in the price. There is a mileage charge of €0.45 per kilometer. In addition, travel days are charged at a rate of €250 per day.

Besides sports photography, I also work for companies and do events, product shoots and portraits. My experience with fast-paced, dynamic settings translates perfectly to corporate storytelling and brand visuals. From strong business portraits to event recap videos, I deliver content that makes an impact.

It depends on my schedule. For large events, I recommend booking at least 1-2 months in advance. This leaves plenty of time to think about your project together. For last-minute assignments, you may always contact me – if it fits, I will make it happen.
